Only a Few Weeks to Go
These past few weeks have been ones of much stress and uncertainty. Due to this I actually ended up in the ER while we were in Fort Wayne last week. I went thinking I could be leaking fluid much like I did with Gabe, but luckily I was not. I was however having regular contractions. Thankfully they could give me a shot and a pill to help stop the contractions and another shot to help develop the baby's lungs. I was able to leave the hospital after a few hours and with the understanding that I would see my doctor as soon as we got back, which I did. I am still having contraction, which I can now feel, but my doctor said I could continue doing things as normal. Although I am not sure that I will make it to my scheduled c-section date, I am hoping that I make it at least another couple of weeks. We'll see what the doctor says at my next appointment next Wednesday.

Doctor Appt.
Today was my regular appointment with the doctor, but it was not my first time at the office this week. Tuesday I went to have my three hour glucose test done and after drinking the "punch" and waiting an hour I found out that they had made a mistake in the process and they could not do the test so I had to go to out-patient part of the hospital yesterday to have the test done, which took four hours of waiting in the lobby of the hospital and five blood draws. The good news is that they already had the results today and I found out that my levels were fine, which is exactly what happened when I was pregnant with Gabe. I also start going to the doctor every two weeks now. I can hardly believe that it is already time to do that. It won't be that long now! I don;t have any new pics, hopefully next time.

The Dreaded Test
Well on Thursday, the dreaded call came from the doctor's office telling me that I have to go in for the three hour glucose test. Since I had not heard anything in about two weeks I thought that I had normal levels from the one hour test, but I guess I'm not that lucky. They informed me that 140 was high and that I was at 162 so Tuesday morning I am going back in for the three hour test. I'm sure everything will come back fine, just like it did when I had to have it done when I was pregnant with Gabe. So next week I have the glucose test on Tuesday morning and then my normal doctor's appointment on Friday morning. I will keep you updated on what I find out.
